APA/SAMHSA Minority Fellow Taps Barbers for Assistance

Teo-Carlo Straun, MD., an APA/SAMHSA Minority Fellowship Program fellow from Yale University, is using some of his minority fellowship funds to support the launch of a highly creative initiative to overcome healthcare disparities in the inner city. The initiative is called the Barbershop Health Network. It was spearheaded by an organization in Worcester, Massachusetts called Mosaic.
