Add to EJ Playlist  The first part of a 1940s radio dramatisation of the story, from the series Suspense, starring Ronald Colman as Henry Armitage. Typical of its time, very overblown and nothing like as creepy and faithful as the HP Lovecraft Historical Society CD version, but I thought it interesting. The radio show is in the public domain, despite some people's attempts to claim copyright, and it and other episodes of Suspense can be downloaded freely from the Internet Archive.
