Lil Wayne and his new album Tha Carter III is one of my favorite albums of this year and I thought it was about time that I took a risk and did my own spin on a rap song. This song isn't on that album, it's on The Game's LAX and it's a current obsession (thanks everyone .). Obviously, it's an abbreviated version of the song but ... here it is ! You may love it hate it who knows.. but this is just the beginning of me trying things a little bit outside of my comfort zone.

The story goes - I had a very dear friend who lived out here in Los Angeles. We did just about everything together for the few years she lived out here in L.A. Then one day, she vanished. Not a phone call, ... not a word about where she went and why. Still haven't heard from her ... So this is my letter to her. PS - I did another video of this with my guitarist (lance) while in Japan but there were bugs in the trees that were making so much noise, they almost overpower the music! Add to EJ Playlist  *** My debut album is in all stores and on iTunes now !! *** I played a show in Richmond, Virginia a few days ago.. I had some time to kill before the show so I decided to find an empty room at the venue to do a video. I walked all around the building until I found what looked to be a former nursery or children's room. It was a little creepy but it had a great echo.. and no, I did not add any reverb to this video ! It's all because of the high ceilings and hard wood floors. So here's a bit of my original song' voice on the radio'.. hope you enjoy :) .... Several years ago... I fell in love with the lead singer of a rock band. I went to see a show and there was something about his voice, his songs, his demeanor that completely captivated me. I wrote this song about the way it felt to stand amongst a bunch of screaming girls who were basically willing to do anything to get this guys attention.. and feeling so stupid ... stupid enough that I turned and went home and decided instead to write a song that exactly described what it felt like to knowingly fall for someone I don't even know - knowing that's ridiculous - but not being able to deny the feeling nonetheless .... :)

Trust me, I know that none of this would be happening if not for all of you watching my videos, telling your friends about my music.. and supporting me up until now. People used to ask me .... ' don't you think you're giving away too much of your music? Do you think that people will actually buy your album?'.. But both of my sisters are very musically gifted...probab ly even more than me ! It's quite autobiographica l and details my time in junior high school.
