alisalisalynn: so many people tell you as a woman that your hair is beautiful, that they love your hair long, or that it would be just so beautiful if you grew it out. Doing this, for me at least, would mean forgetting all of those things and feeling beautiful because you are you. hair doesn't matter. and being conventionally feminine/beautiful isn't important either, and I think that realization is what is liberating. someone's own happiness is a good enough reason to me.

Gary Trueman: Can't ever understand why this is liberating.It's just following what so many women have done before,who then all grow it back usually with expensive styles as it grows.thus lining the pockets of male dominated salons.True liberation seems to come from just letting it grow,women with long hair never seem to need to justify why they have it,they just know.I guess if she's truly happy with the result then that's what matters most but why film it?

rac717: The operative word is "feel". As you note, nothing of value happened. When a woman has beautiful long hair, it is a thing of great beauty, and to shear it off in a pointless exercise is sad. At least, to me it is.

EsKoFilms: Hi! That's me getting my hair shaven and yes part of it was for cancer support, my mentor had just died of cancer a week before. It's my own enviromental disaster and cause that's why I didn't add that part to the video and focused it only on the oil spill.
