In my opinion this is one of the most provocative and  important parts from Dawkins'  documentary "God Strikes  Back".
Hilarious as it is, I also think  it puts forth an interesting question:  how far should school-teachers go or be  allowed to go, when it comes to making  their students question their own  beliefs?

KbcBerlin: Peace comes when a being feels safe, and secure in the present, and foreseeable future. Of course we rarely if ever achieve that. Some clever ruling people, a long time ago, knew about this way to control people, by offering them less fear in their lives. So they wrote a book, for it to work it had to be from God. So, they said it was from God. Now you know.

Samuel Adams: What's "very ironic" about two people of differing beliefs being identified by the same arbitrary assemblage of phonemes? Is it expected that shared namesakes imply shared beliefs? On what planet? Are you not positive what irony means? Who asserted that you cannot pick and choose from the Bible? Who said I had any problem with religion? Who claimed to pick and choose from historical figures? I don't like religion, but at least it's semi-intelligible. Did you have anything at all coherent to say?

Michael Watson: All theories can be wrong, that's why science relies on peer review. A theory is only as good as it's predictions for the real world. While it's predictions are accurate, it stands. When it's predictions fail, it will be replaced be a better theory. There is no room for "faith". Only evidence.

They can be wrong, yes and it's part of science to discuss ideas to sort out the wrong ones. Evolution in contrary has lots of evidence and it would be very much absurd to fit something like Creatonism into this puzzle. consi30: I am quit honest. You can admit that science is still quite limitate when we talk about how life apear on Earth? Not all the answer camming from science are nothing else then fiction base on other theory? I will give you this example: most of the scientists were agree that the Moon was born from a collision between Earth and another planet. From this collision Moon appear. We can start to teach this theory as a fact? The same about Big Bang Theory. Can this theories be wrong? Yes or No?

consi30: It is good to free your mind only if you have something better to put in place. Other wise is good to keep what you know. I can be freely open to any idea but I will not accept to force me to believe in something with any cost. Things change all the time but only history can prove if that was good or not for human kind.

And teaching theories in school as theories is nothing bad about it. That what they are. Base on them you can build other deductions and idea. Dawkins make the same mistake puting Napoleon (history) with Evolution.
