Ella Fitzgerald - The Girl From Ipanema
Ella Fitzgerald (First Lady of Jazz, 1917-1996) sings The Girl(Boy) from Ipanema ("Garota de Ipanema"), a popular bossa nova song; written in 1962 by Brazilian musician/composer Antonio Carlos (Tom) Jobim (1927-1994). It became a worldwide hit in the mid-60s and won Record for the Year Grammy award in 1965.
