SharingEmotions: "Its I and I" meaning we're all one.
FlightOfTheDoves: Jesus, these are the top comments on this song?
Travis Peters: Seeing this being performed at SXSW 2011 was beautiful. Firework show and all. :)
Globeskater170: i read his comment months ago and actually read most of the page that is "the present" . It's not spam and it defines alot of things on this earth and spiritual things in humanity
Nick Shull: ya twat
Tom Perrone: fuck truth, im solely seeking spam on the internet
Jake Moyers: one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard. hearing this live sent shivers down my spine.
snoop3000100: i read this great book, 'nightmares by adin ohman' it was on the kindle market for only 4$ dollars. just throwing that out there in the digital word.
TheLiquified: omegle brought me here ^_^
frances hernandez: Haha &now I'm moving to Cruses. That's crazy
truther7077: Conor Oberst is definitely a tuned in truth seeker, as evidence by this song. If you are seeking truth, search for "Truth Contest" in Google, click the top result, then open "The Present" on the homepage and read what it says. This knowledge will help you overcome the fear of the death of your ego.
777eimer: i understand and agree with you now
Oscar Jameson: Bright Eyes forever.
Jose Martinez: no amount of heroin or coke or crack will help you find peace and enlightenment.... i'm talking about the "good-for-your-mind" drugs. I've been listening to Bright Eyes since 'Fevers & Mirrors' there's obvious album & song mentions of shroom/DMT/lsd trips. He pilgrimed to mexico, so i'm guessing maybe even Peyote and ayahuasca. Shaman drugs can cure junkies to sometimes never use again. C'mon this song itself is a ode to ego-death!
777eimer: music is fuelled by more than drugs, hes a genius, not some junkie
Mogens Lysgaard: Class song from a class band
Jessie Bell: a guy from a band called- Refried Ice Cream. They have a myspace and a website, just type them into google.
yourlipsarerubyred colorofmyblood: bright eyes is never over .....
Jessie Bell: The Book on the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are. Alan Watts
Jose Martinez: Listen to the last part Oberst put into this song: "when there's total enlightenment there will be peace[...]as much knowledge as you can give people to seek and understand". If he's done the "drugs" I think he's done, added with his personality, then there's no way he is done spreading what he now knows through music. (:
Manuel Morales: i live 2 hours north of you! Carlsbad NM
Manuel Morales: what book?
LAvsPORTLAND: You and me, that is an awful lie.
peacethrumusic19: Mercy? Mercy.
