Massive Attack - Black Milk

Shotty's Classic Series #17:

Massive Attack's debut Blue Lines practically invented trip-hop, and by 1998's Mezzanine, they'd perfected the songcraft. Overshadowed by the album's one-two-three-four punch of songs right at the beginning, Black Milk is an excellent mid-tempo lurker that's carried out of the darkness by Cocteau Twin Elizabeth Frazer's sensual vocals.

joelaureate: Did I ever mention banning? Nope. Learn to to read, and how to have a sense of humour. I doubt the person who actually did mention banning was being absolutely serious.
ihatechili: when you ban your children from listening to something, thats quite forceful isnt it?
dustyroad98: Good man.
joelaureate: I said opening their ears and eyes- I never said anything about force. And everytime we turn on the tv, go in a shop, watch a youtube video, etc. we have music forced upon us.
ihatechili: Not really, no. My dad always forced me to listen to his music, I can't even stand it anymore. Trying to force someone to like something is just short-sighted and more or less arrogant.
AntyarmiaPortal: ITS ABOUT BEING
joelaureate: Kids are fucking stupid. They form their tastes and opinions according to the influence of their peers and the media. Because they're stupid they're very susceptible to brainwashing. Opening their ears and eyes to real art might give them a chance of not growing up to be a shithead like most do.
mannionator: Respect? You want this person to respect Justin Bieber, go fuck yourself 'baby'
ihatechili: Or you could respect your kids' tastes and opinions....
machinimamarlon: Make sure to let them listen to some bebop.
NignogTheGreat: Are you serious? Oh god.......
pizzatime96: you force your kids to listen to your own music? aww jeese.
BansheesLaughter: You are parenting right. Same for my kids. :)
shadecory: Ambient love, and eternal loop of sorrow, folded by understanding. Massive Attack is just simply the best music for coitus!
lawrenceleekaryeung: have listen from someone bought , found if not edit not well such as vocal erase draw my intention not able consider to buy in support with although bought the protection which have two tracks at least in pure music beat and really like
John Smith: You're into some freaky shit, aren't you?
maranatha5800: The Refrain has 24 tacts but the verses only 22 tacts??? and the breaks have different sizes...
MotherSwaqTerssa: um hes 19? lol
icntsywhtiwnt2: I thought that was MA's whole thing. "Songs to fuck to."
lastrada52: Entire melody is lifted from Manfred Mann's "Tribute," going all the way to the 70's. Now, I like Massive Attack -- but, when you lift / sample something so obvious & for such a long duration -- you have to credit the original composers. The lyrics & singing are the only original additions. The groove & melody is all Manfred Mann. Don't believe me? "Tribute" by MM is on YouTube. I like MM's better because they have this keyboard oriented brass that fills it out. Theirs needs no vocals.
milito8732: bitch we gon listen to some keith sweat while we fuck. I might just start rapping in the middle of sex if we fuck to this song
DJOxiz: Dad !
ESELkoek: Thanks, mate! I'll check them out, I've been enjoying Royksopp since I was twelve haha
ESELkoek: Thank you :) I'll check them out (Bonobo is actually one of my favourite bands)
