r Negoro: I am a spiritualist, in my case when you chant this mantra , medicine budhha really came. If you feel some sensation, like wind, tingling, feeling relaxed, weak, nauseous - then say your prayers to medicine buddha.

Listen (the words don't matter too much), learn and repeat it but with someone in mind that you want to help (but not for your benefit or self-gain. Epi Clesis: Minimum is usually 108 repetitions but for full effect 100,00 is recommended. The more the better. But even a few is wonderful.

DoubleCinco: Adeline--wanted you to know that I used this chant (and others) for six months preparing for transplant surgery. It has been one year and I am stable and growing stronger. I was chanting when the anesthesia took me under. I was only in the hospital 8 days and the surgery went well. My mind and body were prepared to accept their limitations and the hardship of the surgery in a way that I didn't know how to accomplish otherwise. Blessings.
