Mayom Lazaro is a Sudanese refugee who arrived in the U.S. in 2003 and who now works for a refugee resettlement agency called RefugeeOne in Chicago. Although his son lives in Canada now, Mayom cannot visit or see him and he has not seen his son since 2004.
